About BCYD
The Bexar County Young Democrats were founded in 2022 as a chapter of Texas Young Democrats (TYD) to engage young voters and our up-and-coming Democratic leaders across San Antonio and Bexar County.

Many years on, we are continuing that fight for a fairer, more just future for all San Antonians and Bexar County residents. Together, we will organize, mobilize, and fight for a county that reflects our values: equality, opportunity, and democracy for everyone.
Meet our Executive Board
BCYD President
Maria Mancha
As President, Maria is elected to lead our organization as chief executive and presiding officer. She previously worked as the BCYD Secretary. She also serves as the Committeewoman for CD-35 on the State Democratic Executive Committee of the Texas Democratic Party.​​​​

BCYD Vice President, TYD President
Joella Methola
As Vice President, Joella is elected to aid our President in leading our organization and may stand in as President should Maria be unavailable. She previously served as BCYD Policy Director. She is also the President for our state-wide counterpart, Texas Young Democrats and the Committeewoman for the Young Democrats Caucus on the State Democratic Executive Committee of the Texas Democratic Party.​​​​

BCYD Treasurer
Gabriel Garcia
As Treasurer, Gabriel or 'Gabe' is elected to oversee and manage our organization's finances. He also serves as the Committeeman for CD-21 on the State Democratic Executive Committee of the Texas Democratic Party.​​
BCYD Secretary, BCHD President
Stanley Casillas
As Secretary, Stanley is elected to maintain key records within our organization to help us run smoothly and transparently. He also serves as the President of Bexar County High School Democrats (BCHD).​​
BCYD Membership Director
Trinity Erwin
As Membership Director, Trinity is elected to engage our new and existing membership and record our progress in growing our organization.

BCYD Policy Director, GOTV Committee Chair
Nicolas Kerr
As Policy Director, Nicolas or 'Nico' is elected to research and develop our organization's key policy positions and leads our education and advocacy efforts. They additionally work to upkeep our foundational documents. He also serves as the Chair of BCYD's Get out the Vote Committee.
BCYD Communications Director (Social Media)
Daisy Valdovinos
As Communications Director for Social Media, Daisy is elected to promote our organization across various social media channels. She also serves as Vice President for Bexar County Democratic Women.
BCYD Communications Director (Public Relations)
Joshua Colins
​As Communications Director for Public Relations, Joshua is elected to demonstrate and promote our organization's core values and principals through public engagement.

BCYD Fundraising Director
Liz Delgado
As Fundraising Director, Liz is appointed to maintain the funds our organization has to continue to carryout vital mobilization and organization efforts. She formerly served as BCYD President. She also serves as Deputy Chair of the Bexar County Democratic Party for Precinct 3.
BCYD Chief of Staff
Armando Cruz
As Chief of Staff, Armando or 'Mando' is appointed to aid our organization's leadership in carrying out our key initiatives.

Angela Payne
As Parliamentarian, Angela is appointed to make sure our organization operates in an orderly way in accordance with the most up-to-date edition of Robert's Rules of Order.
